There is no signup, no login and no password. We never ask for your name, your email address or your phone number, and there is nothing to delete because there is no account to delete.

The only thing we know about a buyer is what they typed into their own entry, which they chose to publish on a public board.

We count how many people see the board. To do it without identifying anyone, we take your IP address, your browser's user agent, today's date and a secret value, run them through a one-way hash, and store only the result.

Your IP address is never written down. It exists for the microseconds it takes to compute the hash and is then gone.

Because the date is inside the hash, the same person tomorrow produces a completely different value. We cannot link your visits across days, and neither can anyone who ever got hold of the database. That is the point: it makes visitors countable without making them followable. Rows older than 30 days are deleted outright.

When you click through to an entry's website we increment a counter on that entry and send you on. We record that a click happened, not who made it. The counts are shown publicly so buyers can see what their slot was worth.

The display name, message and website on an entry are public by design and permanent by design: they stay in the Record after the round freezes. That is the thing being bought.

When you give us a website we fetch its icon once, from our server, and keep our own copy. We do this so the Record still shows the site as it was years later, and so we never hand your visitors to a third-party favicon service.

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how people find it. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and Google may use that data according to their own policies. Nothing else on this site sets a cookie.

If you would rather not be included, a browser-level tracking blocker or Google's own opt-out add-on will stop it. Blocking it does not affect anything on the board.

We never see or store your card details. Payment is handled entirely by our payment provider, who is the merchant of record. We keep a record that a payment happened, its amount, and the provider's reference for it, so we can match it to a slot and issue a refund if one is owed.

Entries can be removed for breaking the content rules, including from rounds that have already frozen. See the rules for what that means and what it does not refund.
